After eight long years served as the President and First Lady of The United States, Barack and Michelle Obama are finally kicking back and enjoying the transitional end of their term. For us, that would pretty much translate to “Netflix and chill,” but the Obamas are clearly better versed in the art of partying.
The beautiful first couple was recently honored at BET’s event, Love & Happiness, an Obama Celebration, which aired on the network Tuesday night.
This was no stuffy cocktail party. The Obamas were treated to a live performance by Usher, magical in itself, of course, but the evening was undeniably elevated by Michelle’s audience participation.
And by that, we mean, FLOTUS is a major Usher fan and she isn’t afraid to show it. The Obamas got their groove on throughout the night, but it wasn’t until the singer busted out his rendition of “You Make Me Wanna” that Michelle really got in the zone, singing along as if it were her duty.
