Celebrities have nothing but love for Selena Gomez in the wake of Sunday night’s American Music Awards. After collecting her award for Favorite Female Pop/Rock Artist, the 24-year-old songstress delivered an emotional acceptance speech that moved many in the audience—television and otherwise—to tears. Afterward, some of our favorite A-listers rallied around her in an inspiring show of support.
Sunday’s high-profile appearance marked Gomez’s first public event since August when she announced she was taking time off to deal with anxiety, depression, and panic attacks following her Lupus diagnosis. Lady Gaga, who has also struggled with depression, shared a ‘gram (above of the two of them embracing backstage.
“So dope I got to hang with the biggest rockstar of the night. (Ya, know besides Sting and Green Day),” Gaga wrote on Instagram beside the backstage snap. “The girl with the biggest prize of all a BIG Heart that she shares with the world.”
Although she wasn’t there in person, Gomez’s BFF Taylor Swift tuned in to watch the show and shared a video of her celebrating her win via an Instagram story. Warning: Swift can really scream.
